Edmonton Oilers at L.A. Kings: time, how to live stream Game 4 of NHL playoffs (2024)

Can the No. 6 seed Los Angeles Kings even their series with the No. 3 seed Edmonton Oilers?

You can find out on Sunday night, April 28, when the two battle at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The game is scheduled to start at 10:30 p.m. EDT and will air on TBS and Tru TV and live stream on Sling TV (first-month discount) and DirecTV Stream (introductory discount).

Here’s the BETMGM Sportsbook line: Oilers -146, Kings +123; over/under is 6.5

Edmonton has won two of the first three games in the series, including a 6-1 thumping on Friday night in Los Angeles.

Leon Draisaitl had two goals and an assist, Zach Hyman also scored twice and the Oilers rode the momentum of three first-period goals to a convincing win in Game 3.

Connor McDavid (one goal, two assists) and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (three assists) also had three-point nights. McDavid is the first player since Wayne Gretzky in 1987 to have at least eight assists in the first three games. Evander Kane added a goal and an assist while Stuart Skinner stopped 27 shots.

Hyman, who had a hat trick in Edmonton’s 7-4 Game 1 victory on Monday, became the third player in the past 25 years to score in Edmonton’s first three postseason games when he put in a rebound 6:42 into the first.

The left wing then extended the lead to 5-1 six minutes into the third period when the Oilers had a two-man advantage.

The Kings are the only team in the playoffs without a power-play goal thus far, going 0 for 10. The Oilers are 7 for 14 and have all the momentum, two victories away from knocking out L.A. for a third consecutive year.

“Game 4 is a big game for us,” McDavid told The Associated Press. “It feels like it’s a big, swing game. I think we’ve learned our lesson from Game 2. We came out a little bit flat and didn’t match their desperation. We’ve got to be ready right off the hop.”

Drew Doughty had the Kings’ lone goal early in the second period and Cam Talbot made 35 saves.

But Talbot, who allowed 13 goals in the Kings’ two losses, will be on the bench Sunday night as the Kings turn to David Rittich.

Kings interim coach Jim Hiller told reporters during Sunday’s morning skate that he informed the goalies of his decision on Saturday. Rittich played in 24 games during the regular season, starting 22.

“David is going to go, we feel good about that. I thought Cam did a good job, that’s not it,” Hiller told The AP. “David has played really well for us, played well against Edmonton, so we’ll give him a go.”

Rittich played in 24 games during the regular season, starting 22. He had a 13-6-3 record with a 2.15 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.

He also had three shutouts, including Feb. 10 against the Oilers, when he stopped 26 shots in the Kings 4-0 victory.
