Ghosts, ghouls, zombies, witches, werewolves, super-sized spiders and chainsaw-wielding maniacs lie waiting to give us eerie-sistible fun.

Zombies of The Corn
Where:282 Rochester Road, New Sewickley Township.
What's there:Ride a battle wagon as you shoot paintballs at zombies. There's also a walk-through zombie compound with gotchas galore, plus the Funhouse 3D, Z-Maze, spooky ghost stories around a campfire and photo op areas.
Open:Sept. 22 for Fridays and Saturdays through October, adding Sunday dates Oct. 15, 22 and 29.

Beastly Haunted Trail
Where:Behind the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Center Township.
What's there:A walking trail through the woods, with fun frights and scream-inducing scares from horror-themed sets and costumed actors in this nonprofit fundraiser for the Beaver County Humane Society.
Open:Sept. 29 for each Friday and Saturday through October. Hours are 7-10 p.m.

Freddy's Haunts
Where:192 McCune Road, Independence Township.
What's there: The O.G. (original ghosthouse?) of Beaver County, the family-operated Freddy's offers an immersive, all-enclosed haunted house deep in the woods, "filled with the monsters from your worst nightmares."
Also enjoy: Scaryoke/DJ on Friday nights, a full lineup of bands on Saturdays and deejay Sunday nights. Bonfires rage every night.

FearScapes Haunts & Escape Room
Where:1503 Brentwood Ave., Ellwood City.
What's there:Celebrating five years of fear, this haunted walk-thru and maze is in an industrial/warehouse setting. The thematic concept: "Tucked within a small town in Pennsylvania rests FearScapes, a fringe research base gone nightmarishly wrong. By combining knowledge of the paranormal and the occult with science-based containment methods, researchers were successfully able to attract and contain entities of another worldly origin. But when a malfunction in the containment process occurred, these entities were then free to wreak havoc. Preliminary reports have shown that there is no way to contact personnel trapped within the facility, only those brave enough to enter may seek out those trapped and discover what secrets FearScapes holds."

The Windmill's Haunted Mini-Golf

What's There:Haunted scenes and sounds surround a miniature golf course and food stand.
Hours:Starts Sept and runs daily through Nov. 3. 16. 3-9 p.m. weekdays; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Admission:Night rate: $13 for adults, $11 for kids under age 12; day rate is $11 for adults, $9 for kids. Walk-through rate is $5. Thursdays are buy one get one free.

What's there: A hair-raising Haunted Wonderland blending fast-paced karting with spine-chilling spectacles, axe throwing, zombie-themed arcade game area, and tantalizing Halloween treats. Phantom Fall Fest
Where:Kennywood Park, West Mifflin.
What's there:Kennywood's signature spooky-season event lets you do Halloween your way depending on the time of day. Come early for family-friendly fun, including festive food and a unique autumn atmosphere. Plus, enjoy your favorite coasters and rides during the day. Then, when the sun goes down, the Phantom takes screams to the extreme with seven haunted houses and four scare zones.
