I might be biased, because I've lived in Lakewood my whole life, but I think that Lakewood High School (OH) is a pretty great school. There's a very inclusive nature about the place and you can expect to be welcomed no matter your race, gender, sexuality, religion, etc. It was voted the best school in the Cuyahoga district not only because of that fact but also because of the amazing West Shore Program that opens up doors for students interested in extracurriculars such as cooking, engineering, architecture, interior design, childcare, fashion design, etc. The teachers are pretty give and take, you can't really expect to have amazing experiences with every teacher, but that's just how it goes. There is a lot of very amazing teachers and most teachers policies are not too hard to keep up with. Overall its a pretty great school with lots of great opportunities for everyone who enrolls.

My experience at Lakewood High School has been awesome! I've always liked to help around the community and be a good hearted person. Having many opportunities with extracurricular activities and clubs really helped with finding things i enjoy doing. I'm in many clubs, including a volunteering club, H20; indoor and outdoor track; Special Olympics, where we get to interact with the MILES students in our school and play sports. Even Medical Office Management which is a west-shore program in our school that can be used for as college credits. The teachers and staff are great and supportive. Overall, I wouldn't want to graduate from any other school. I got honored an award for Student of the Year for following the Lakewood High Schools graduation requirements. One thing that stood out the most was the growth mindset I have set and always having a positive attitude towards my peers and staff.
