MLB The Show 24 Season 2 (2024)

On June 7, MLB The Show 24 welcomed Season 2. Players have completed the first sprint to 99 OVR players in Season 1. With Season 2, everything will be reset. We will be using new low-rated players and sprinting them to 99. If you want to get a head start in Season 2, there are a few things you need to do.

The first thing you need to do now is to make sure you complete all the goals to get the head start XP for Season 2. Once you complete all the goals, you will immediately unlock the first Wild Card slot in Season 2, which will allow you to use players from Season 1 in the rest of your lineup.

This means that your favorite Captain cards from Season 1 can be used again this season. You can unlock up to four Wild Card slots in Season 2, but if you plan to play online, you will need to make sure you get a head start. Here are the things you need to do.

The Show Classics Program

Players can get some great cards for free in Season 1 by gridding the program instead of spending a lot of MLB The Show 24 Stubs. It also includes other rewards such as a ton of packs from different promotions, including The Show Classics pack, five unsellable cards, stadium sounds, and even profile banners. You’ll want to make sure all of your programs are complete before jumping into Season 2.

Season 1 Recap Program

New Season 1 Recap Program is filled with packs and cards for players to win, with a chance to get top-tier cards. If you’ve already completed everything MLB The Show 24 has to offer, you can complete the program without entering the game.

Before jumping into Season 2, you’ll need to collect all of Season 1’s bonus cards and get 150 points or more in order to max out the Season 1 Recap Program. If you’ve already completed it, your best bet is to complete repeatable PXP missions in your favorite game mode.

Egg Hunt Program

Similar to last year’s event, MLB The Show 24 adds a new Egg Hunt Program to Diamond Dynasty. By completing various in-game missions, players can pick up enhanced cards of past and present MLB stars.

But this is the program after all, and players need to solve clues to get each egg, which can be frustrating if you can’t solve the puzzle. You need to make sure you have collected 10 Eggs before entering Season 2. If not, then shoot!

Earn 8 Season 1 Awards Program Cards

Every year, developer Sony San Diego launches an Awards Program to celebrate the performance of MLB stars in real-life games, which allows players to earn a lot of rewards. You can get these cards by completing the program missions and challenges. These cards cannot be sold. The program also has four Show packs and two Season 1 Awards choice packs as rewards.

There is a card in each Drop reward. Before entering Season 2, you must make sure that you have at least 8 cards or more to stand out in Season 2.

Collect 250 Season 1 Cards

The first few objectives require you to complete specific goals, but if you’re playing on Rookie, you can do them in a few hours. My recommendation is to do them in the order above, because the cards you get in the initial program can be upgraded faster in subsequent programs.

The best way to collect 250 Season 1 cards is to complete Team Affinity Programs. During Season 1, developer San Diego Studio gave players three different Team Affinity chapters, each divided into six parts, which ultimately allowed players to get 90 Team Affinity cards and some other rewards.

You’ll want to make sure you’ve completed at least the first two chapters before entering Season 2, as they will no longer exist in Season 2.

Pause Other Programs

Literally, if you have completed XP Reward Path for Season 1 but have not completed Other Programs, such as Lou Gehrig Day program. Don’t stay on such programs for too long at this time, because according to the developers, the current Other Programs may be weakened in Season 2.

But if you haven’t completed XP Reward Path for Season 1, you can still complete it.

Complete your Live Series

When Season 2 begins, players can only use S2 and Core cards. Each Live Series is a Core card, so completing Live Series is a top priority.

This not only means that you will have the best hitter in the game, Babe Ruth, but also players like Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout to add luster to your team.

In addition, the developers may give up several new Captains at the beginning of Season 2, so this means that having as many Live Series cards as possible will make your team easier to win at the beginning.

Now MLB The Show 24 Season 2 will be launched on all platforms on June 7th. We look forward to your better performance in Season 2!
